Manifest Filing Process
How UPLIFT initiative made Manifest Filing seamless?

UPLIFT, a pioneering initiative by Kale Logistics Solutions and ACAAI, offers seamless data migration, and nearly 15,000 stakeholders have benefitted from this. UPLIFT follows the best practices and standards, updated continually to enable integration with different entities across different regions via EDI/CARIMP/XML/SITA/FTP/web API/web Services/Emails/ SMS message exchange mediums.

CONSOL Manifest for Ocean Cargo

UPLIFT has also facilitated the CONSOL General Manifest feature for ocean cargo, which was earlier only available for air cargo. Different entities in the supply chain can perform their respective activities through UPLIFT, tracing the shipment in every stage and seamless delivery of the cargo.

Process of submission through UPLIFT

Airlines have to file the manifest message (FFM) with the Expected Time of Arrival (ETA). The key fields for submission of FFM Message are - Flight No. and Date of origin of the flight. Two flights with the same flight no. cannot originate on the same day from a single originating station which will be informed.

On submission, the ICES would generate an acknowledgement by assigning IGM Number, the unique identifier for each flight. Fifteen minutes before the ETA, a manifest message is transmitted to the Custodian by Customs. The system would integrate the CONSOL manifest information up to the ETA time with the IGM.

Airlines must file the amendment request to Customs with the key parameters - Site ID, IGM No, and Year. Amendments received up to ETA are approved automatically by UPLIFT, and the Customs Officer has no intervention.

Conclusion

Through UPLIFT, the supply chain can work efficiently as one entity. It is the only online application that facilitates Air and Ocean transactions. Its multi-branch feature makes access from anywhere and anytime, bringing complete visibility across the value chain. A round the clock support and maintenance help the stakeholders remain competitive in their operations.
